Welcome to our class page! Miss Spicksley, Mrs Robertson and Miss Ellis are looking forward to seeing all the children and we cannot wait to hear all about your Summer holidays!

Autumn Learning

During Autumn Term in Year 2, we will be consolidating the children's phonics skills and building our confidence in reading more difficult texts. We will be looking at the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff and exploring inventions with Tom's Magnificent Machines. In Maths, we will be exploring place value of numbers to 100 and developing our skills in addition and subtraction.

In History, we will be exploring our own family histories and in Geography we will be exploring our local area. We will be looking at creating moving pictures in Design Technology and also creating pictures digitally in Computing.

In P.E., we will be working on our ball skills as well as exploring balance and co-ordination in gymnastics. Van Gough will be our Artist of the term and we will explore his pictures and learn all about his life and inspirations. In RE, we will learn how Christians learn to live good lives from lessons from the bible and we will look at Christmas traditions. In PSHE, we will discuss what is means to be a good friend.
